The Texas Pork Producers Association (TPPA) announces the recipients of the 2026 industry awards, recognizing outstanding leadership, innovation, and commitment to advancing the pork industry across the state. Each year, TPPA honors individuals and operations that demonstrate excellence in production, advocacy, youth mentorship, and consumer engagement.
2026 Award Recipients
Dr. David Frazier of Stephenville, Texas, is receiving the Industry Service Award, which highlights non-producers who make a significant contribution to the Texas pork industry and/or TPPA. Dr. Frazier has had an exceptional career within agricultural education and has been a volunteer for the barrow and gilt shows at the Fort Worth Stock Show and Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo for numerous years.
Daryl Real from Sanger, Texas, is also receiving an Industry Service award for his incredible contribution to the association and our industry. Currently serving as the Senior Vice President of Livestock and Agriculture at the State Fair of Texas, Real has worked diligently to make the event a successful experience for exhibitors, breeders, and attendees for numerous years.
The Rising Star Award is awarded to a breeder who is up-and-coming within the industry. This year, our recipient is Bradley Cudd, who owns and operates Cudd Farms in Brownfield, Texas. Cudd and his family have raised numerous Texas major competitive barrows, including the Reserve Champion Hampshire at San Angelo and Champion Light Weight Hampshire at San Antonio this year.
The Producer of the Year is awarded to a producer who has shown outstanding recent achievements in production and leadership. This year, our recipients are Roger and Jeremy Lacy of Seminole, Texas. This duo owns and operates Lacy Show Pigs, where they have been raising quality show pigs for numerous years. This show season, Lacy Show Pigs had an exceptional run at the Texas major shows. Highlights from this year include raising the Grand Champion barrows at the State Fair of Texas (2025) and the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo.
Honorees will be recognized during the association’s annual awards banquet on June 13th in College Station. On behalf of TPPA, we would like to congratulate these individuals and give our appreciation for their efforts in improving our industry.
