Lubbock, Texas — The Certified Texas Bred Registry (CTBR) is proud to honor a highly successful 2026 show season, highlighted by impressive achievements from exhibitors and breeders across the state of Texas.

Throughout the 2026 season, CTBR-registered barrows made a powerful impact in the show ring, earning 10 Grand and Reserve Grand Champion titles at major Texas stock shows and jackpot events. In addition, CTBR exhibitors captured 72 Breed and Reserve Breed Championships, 23 Division and Reserve Division Championships, and an outstanding 148 class wins. In addition to this, 650+ Texas-bred barrows made the premium sale, and over 1,000+ barrows were placed in the Top 10 of their class.
The success of the program is also reflected in its growing participation. During the 2026 season, 546 exhibitors earned points and 300+ breeders participated in the CTBR program, showcasing strong engagement and continued confidence in Texas-based breeding programs.
In addition to success in the show ring, CTBR remained committed to supporting its participants. The program awarded $73,900 in additional premiums during the Texas major show season, directly reinvesting in exhibitors and recognizing their achievements. As the program continues to grow, CTBR remains dedicated to promoting Texas breeders, supporting youth exhibitors, and strengthening the state’s pork industry.
