The Texas Pork Producers Association is committed to serving, supporting, and advancing the Texas pork industry. Whether you're a producer, exhibitor, industry partner, or supporter of agriculture, membership connects you to valuable resources, educational opportunities, leadership programs, and a network dedicated to strengthening the pork industry across the state and nationwide.

Producer Membership

The Producer Membership is designed for any individual, partnership, corporation, or firm that is actively engaged in the production of swine. This membership is for any age swine producer in the state of Texas.

  • Key Producer Membership benefits:
    • Participation in and recognition through the Certified Texas Bred Registry program
    • Member-exclusive producer resources and online community (coming soon in late 2026)
    • Recognition opportunities
    • Monthly newsletters
    • Create impactful networking and industry connections
    • Representation on legislative and regulatory issues

Youth Membership

The Youth Membership option is for any individual under the age of 21 years who is actively engaged in the production of swine (young producer or exhibitor).
 
  • Key Youth Membership benefits:
    • Exclusive membership welcome package when you become (or renew) your youth membership
    • Priority access to summer events such as the Texas Pork Youth Retreat, Texas Pork Leadership Camp, and "ChopTalk" Advocacy Academy
    • Ability to compete in the Quiz Bowl and Public Speaking contest at Texas Elite (all contestants must be youth members in 2027)
    • Youth member newsletter (twice a year) with exclusive dates, information, and resources
    • Access to young producer and/or exhibitor resources

SIP (Strategic Investment Program) Membership

The National Pork Producers Council (NPPC) is funded by voluntary contributions from pork producers and allied industry into the Strategic Investment Program (SIP). To be a member of NPPC, pork producers agree to contribute 10 cents per $100 in value on all pigs marketed during each year into SIP. A minimum annual contribution of $100 is required. Any TPPA member that contributes to the Strategic Investment Program a minimum of $100 or the equivalent of 10 cents per $100 in value for all pigs marketed in a year will also receive credit for having paid their TPPA annual membership fees. You may include your SIP contribution in your check, and we will register you as a member of both TPPA and NPPC.
 
  • Key SIP Membership benefits:
    • Participation in and recognition through the Certified Texas Bred Registry program
    • Direct contribution to the National Pork Producers Council to support legislative efforts and issues on the national level
    • Plus, the same membership benefits as a producer member listed above

Professional Membership

The Professional Membership is for any individual, organization, agency, or educational institution that is interested in the advancement of the pork industry and that provides services to the pork industry on a non-commercial basis.

    • Stay informed on legislative and policy issues
    • Networking opportunities at TPPA events
    • Connections with producers and allied industry partners

Associate Membership

The Associate Membership is for any individual, organization, agency, or educational institution that is interested in the advancement of the pork industry and that provides services to the pork industry on a commercial basis.
