Certified Texas Bred Registry – The purpose of the Certified Texas Bred Registry is to promote the breeders of Texas bred and raised show pigs and to support the 4-H and FFA club members who exhibit these animals. This committee works to strengthen the program while carrying out its goals.
Conference Planning Committee – Committee members are responsible for planning the program and location of the annual Texas Pork Industry Conference and Youth Symposium and assisting with the event.
Awards Committee – Comprised of producers and allied industry individuals to recommend appropriate industry awards, recognize outstanding individuals and encourage producers with awards and recognition for their accomplishments.
Nominating Committee – Consists of three members including the Immediate Past President, and two members of the Board of Directors. This committee is responsible for nominating Board of Directors, Executive Committee members, Pork Act Delegate candidates and NPPC delegates to be selected at the annual meeting.
Public Policy Committee – The Public Policy committee monitors and reviews all public policy issues that impact the pork industry in Texas and recommends policy action to the Board of Directors.
Swine Health Committee – Producers and representatives from veterinarian medicine, the Texas AgriLife Extension and Texas Animal Health Commission elected to monitor and review issues related to swine and livestock health that impact the pork industry and, if necessary, recommend research and funding needs or policy action to the Board of Directors.
Financial Review Committee – Financial review committee is responsible for providing proper financial oversight by reviewing the monthly financials and reporting to the board; assists in the planning and development of the annual TPPA budget with the Executive Committee.
FUN Auction Committee – Members plan and facilitate both a live and silent auction at the annual Industry Conference to raise funds for the association to utilize in legislative matters and scholarships.
